Communication with the help of interpreters

Usually interpreter is not only philologist but also the scientists in history, geography and culture of the country the language of which interpreter/translator studies. That is why interpreters establish good relations with partners considering traditions of their countries.

Interpreter plays an important role in creating the atmosphere of friendship especially when negotiations are held with representatives of nations the culture and ethnic views on the world of which differ from each other a lot.

When you talk with the help of interpreter it is necessary to follow some rules so that his/her work would be easier.

- You should talk slowly formulating your thoughts and interests correctly and exactly avoiding double meaning.

- You should divide your speech into several sentences and pronounce them making pauses, as the interpreter's mind is not able to keep a lot of information not to mention to translate it.

- Avoid using proverbs and idioms as well as slang. The quotation of poems is undesirable. Interpreter won't be able to translate these hard texts at once. And probably the receiver won't get your idea. Remember translation is very serious process and it needs a lot of time to think it over that is why it is impossible to translate such quotes in dynamic talk.

- You should consider the reaction of the receiver and take measures immediately if you have the impression that he/she understands you properly.
